It’s up to us to show them the way and to lead by example. At the recent Yoga Journal Live conference in Estes Park, CO, it was a joy to see some of the kids in the Yoga Market learning about yoga and meditation. Here Lila, 6, is modeling the hot pink hamsa mala from Indo Love as she practices on her very first yoga mat that’s made for kids by Chi Universe. These mats are so great and teach kids proper alignment in a fun and playful way. She had a blast and was asked to be a part of the fashion show wearing the cutest leggings by the beautiful ladies of Solosol. The smile on her face melted my heart!!
Get kids involved in your yoga practice! They enjoy and learn so much from the hands on experience. Children/tween yoga classes are popping up all over the place. This makes for a fun, healthy & educational experience to share as a family, all the while teaching them more about mindfulness, compassion and values they will carry with them for life!
